newbie question: passing USER ENV. variables to sudo'd process

My sysadmin recently added me to the sudoers list and I've been
"sudo'ing" w/o any
problems thus far. But today, I ran into a problem where the "sudoed"
process needs
a file which is found only in my user's LD_LIBRARY_PATH. I
know that LD_* variables
are NOT passed over for security reasons, I'm wondering if there are
anything my sysadmin can do
to resolve this problem for me. (like adding my a new path somewhere in
the sudo config.?) Thanks
