no authentication methods compiled ?

Unfortunately, this is the first thing I have tried (been caught
before
with that).

Anywy I have tried one more time and recompiled. I have still the
same problem.

I have included attached a tar file with:
config.h
pathname.h
config.status
config.log
config.cache
Makefile
