SUDO - Wildcards

If this question has been asked already I apologize, but is there a
problem using an * with sudo commands?


     For instance my sudoers file has the entry:

     SCTY    ALL=ALL

     ...but when I try to do an sudo rm -r * it never takes. I have
     also noticed this problem with other commands.

FYI...I am running a SCO OSR-5.0.5 and compiled using a SCO UDK
compiler.
