Help with configuration of sudo

Hi,
I'm using sudo version 1.6.3p3 and I have one master sudoers list that 
overlaps 3 different flavors of unix.
I'm having a problem when I try to give a user root level access to certain 
commands/scripts.  I can give the user access to specific commands with no 
problem;however, when I try to give a wildcard, it doesn't work.

Is there a way to give a user root level access to directory?
