sudo prompt question

Hello all, I have a question about setting SUDO_PS1, namely how? I want the
existing prompt to be prepended with "SUDO>" so they don't forget they are
in sudo mode. I have gone over the docs and man pages but I cannot seem to
find how or where this variable is set. Thanks.

BTW I am using 1.6.5p2
