sudo under a defined directory

I can't really tell you want you want do exactly
or even how you're intending to do it, but I can
guarantee you're doing something dangerous or useless.

I don't think you're even using sudo :-(

> <testserv1>: chmod 777 /home/user1/.profile

If you were using sudo, your command line would be 

<testserv1>: sudo chmod 777 /home/user1/.profile
