sudo -S

The -S option does not seem to work.

If I understand this option properly, sudo should prompt for a password
on stdin. Hence, a script like this should work, but it does not.

sudo -S somecommand <<EOD
mypassword
EOD

TIA for any advice.

Running Tru-64 4.0D on an Alpha Server 4100.

Bruce.
