[sudo-users] sudo problem

hi all!!! i am currently developing a kernel driver
for a USb device. The problem ihave is that when i to
. Using sudo to copy the KEXT binary
it gives me this error "Sorry, sudo must be setuid
root." the wntire process i did was like this. 

$ sudo cp -R HelloKernel.kext /tmp
Sorry, sudo must be setuid root.

could someone pls tell me how to solve this prob??
