I'm seeing some interesting differences in behavior in 1.7.0rc1 on
redhat enterprise 4.6 and 5.2

Issue 1)

on 4.6, "sudoedit" invokes the file with the editor I have specified in
EDITOR and VISUAL (redundant, I know)

on 5.2, "sudoedit" does not invoke the editor, and merely returns
"sudoedit: <whatever_file> not changed"

Same behavior if I unset VISUAL and EDITOR.

Issue 2)

on 4.6, with ldap sudoers, works as expected.

on 5.2, with ldap sudoers, I receive an informational message "start_tls
specified but LDAP libs do not support ldap_start_tls_s()"

Off to test SuSE enterprise 9.4 and 10.1 ...
