The problem is that you are trying to source the visudo binary like
a shell script due to the ". " before the command path. If you run
root at nbaixlpd001a:/usr/local/sbin # ./visudo
or with a will path:
root at nbaixlpd001a:/usr/local/sbin # /usr/local/sbin/visudo
it should work as you expect.
