Using gcc it's working for me too.

Installing gcc just took me a few seconds (using YUM). I really recommend setting up a YUM server for the AIX Linux Toolbox repository.
Makes life much easier....

Confirming that sudo-1.9.5p2 compiles cleanly with gcc on AIX.

It's been always my personal experience that I had to use gcc when compiling sudo on AIX. Unfortunately getting gcc installed and working correctly on AIX is an adventure in itself! Just spent several hours trying to resolve dependency hell on AIX 7.1 with latest patches, until finally caving in and resorting to using an older version of gcc on AIX 6.1, at which point I was able to compile the latest sudo no problem.
