NIS/LDAP etc

I've seen in TODO that i could be expected that sudo will use NIS and Hesiod
for keeping sudoers.

I've checked mail-list archive but didn't find any information about that.

So, are there any unstable-pre-alpha-fresh-cvs sudo source that supports 
anything but plain file? Are there plans to implement this in near future?
