I believe this is the same as https://bugzilla.sudo.ws/show_bug.cgi?id=670 which was fixed more than two years ago in sudo 1.8.11p1. Most commands will run regardless of whether cwd can be determined so I don't think it is reasonable for sudo to refuse to run in this case. - todd
