[sudo-users] SUSE, sudo, nfs, logfile

Hello,
I have sudo-1.6.8p11 on a SUSE 8.1 box,
I compiled to get special options, most
specifically I wanted my logfile to go to a
NFS mounted filesystem, but it will not write
any logs.  It will create the file, but no data.
I opened up permission on the file to no avail.

I re-installed with a local logfile and it will
write to the local logfile.

Any ideas on why it won't write to the NFS mount?

P.S. I do have this working on several other flavors, 
Thinking maybe something SUSE specific?
